I am very proud to inform you that an 8-class student from Moravice decided to take part in the competiton carried out by the Australian Embassy in Zagreb. Her name is Valentina Alinčić and she made a beautiful Christmas card combining the kangaroo and the emu as the national animals of Australia together with traditional Aboriginal dot painting all dressed up in a little bit of Christmas spirit.

Young artists from primary schools all over Croatia could participate by making a hand-made Christmas card. The staff at the Embassy will choose the most beautiful one which the Ambassador of Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Elizabeth Marianne Petrovic will use as her official Christmas card. Wow!

Fingers crossed for Valentina...but whatever happens, Valentina and her little piece of art will be appreciated here, at our little village school.
