The 7th class pupils did a short text titled Time Machine by Herbert George Wells which is a sort of a science-fiction story.

After we did the text in their books, they were divided into three groups. The teacher wrote 15 words from the text (such as scream, wind, red, furry, run, etc.) and their assignment was to write a story in which they will use all 15 words from the board. The genre of the story was their choice.

One group wrote a very realistic story about a boy lost in the woods and a forest ranger rescuing him. The second group was more thriller-oriented so there was a funny looking creature, with grey fur and red eyes that bit the main character and ran away. And the third group combined the element of horror (there was a furry monster with shiny red eyes) and the widely spread Croatian belief...you +know which one? The one of the draft! Why?! Because apparently in Croatia the draft is the biggest killer of all and in the case of the third group pupils the draft itself killed the scary-looking monster.
