The Australian Ambassador, HE Elizabeth Petrovic and the staff at the Australian Embassy in Zagreb thank you for participating in our Christmas Card competition titled “Christmas in Australia and Croatia”.
We thank all the 108 schools and the 747 entrants. It was a very difficult task for all the staff to agree on the winner, so we have decided on three winners.
The Embassy will be sending out the Christmas cards to thousands of contacts in Croatia and in Australia. We will also be printing some and they will be personally signed by the Ambassador for the heads of the Croatian government, the President and Sabor.
The entry by Valentina Alincic has been selected in the top 20 – CONGRATULATIONS!! – That’s a fantastic achievement from 747.
Thank you once again for participating, it was a fantastic exercise, for us and the children.
Kind regards
Veleposlanstvo Australije
On 7 October we visited one of Crotian national parks which is also the oldest one. We had a lot of fun on the way there...as well as on the way home...At first the weather was cloudy but it wasn't raining. However, our luck didn't last...During the second half of our sightseeing the rain started...and we hurried to the bus...Some of us got wet more than others.
Despite the weather we had the best time ever!
P.S. It was also our teacher's birthday and our present to her was a folk song wishing her to live until she's 105 and then all over again!
