As you can guess from the title, today people around the world wear pink T-shirts (or anything in that colour) to say Stop! to the violence around us. In regard to that, our school was a host to a police officer from the Vrbovsko police station, Mr Ivan Brozović who deliver a short but powerful lecture on violence among peers as well as the ever-present topic of safety on the Internet. Students from 7 to 14 years of age listened to him speak and asked some questions to which he gladly answered.
The 7th class students cover the same topics with their teacher. During that lesson, they made a traffic light showing red and the one showing green. The red one consisted of all the bad things regarding the Internet while the green one stressed all the good sides. They also made a poster with messages of non-violence and what you should do in case of violence. They used an online platform Canva for creating and designing their own poster. Bravo!
On 7 October we visited one of Crotian national parks which is also the oldest one. We had a lot of fun on the way there...as well as on the way home...At first the weather was cloudy but it wasn't raining. However, our luck didn't last...During the second half of our sightseeing the rain started...and we hurried to the bus...Some of us got wet more than others.
Despite the weather we had the best time ever!
P.S. It was also our teacher's birthday and our present to her was a folk song wishing her to live until she's 105 and then all over again!
